All of Lavazza's coffees that I've tried are excellent. I use espresso - as you can see by the label - the way I would ordinary coffee in my drip coffee maker. Lavazza espresso yields a strong yet never bitter brew. There non-espresso grinds also are excellent. You absolutely can't go wrong with Lavazza.

Qualita' Rossa is what I had in Italy, awesome quality and taste, not over-roasted as many pretend-espressos. The convenience of having a 4-pack automatically shipped by Amazon every 3 months AND on top of that having a discount for doing that is unbeatable. I enjoy a good espresso every morning. I make mine in a stovetop espresso maker and it comes out beutifully. Lavazza Qualita Rossa is a medium roast blend of 30% Robusta and 70% Arabica. It is very aromatic and has a good body and nice finish.

I know and love Lavazza coffee from Italy. I'm a huge fan. I have my wife's family send over boxes of it when ever they send care packages for our kids. However, this stuff is wretched. These pods produce a warm brown drink reminiscent of a vapid tea.

In this products defense, I purchased these for our pod compatible espresso maker. I don't own the *specific* Cuisinart brand that these pods are marketed for. If you do own such a machine, you might have more luck than I did.

I've been brewing this using my Bialetti Moka Express 6-Cup Stovetop Percolator, and so far every single batch has been bitter to the point where I've had to cut it with hot water to cut down on the bitterness and make it drinkable.

The grind on this coffee is incredibly fine, almost like dust, which is what I think is the reason it's so bitter. I figured it would work fine in a stovetop expresso maker since they show one on the front of the package, but I guess I was wrong.

After reading all the glowing reviews here, I'm pretty disappointed in this coffee.

This is my favorite coffee outside of Italy. It is the only brand my husband and I drink. We can't drink drip coffee anymore because it tastes so terrible compared to the Lavazza. If you are a coffee lover this is a great product, and you will LOVE it. My friends always come over for a Latte! Like the name, it is creamy with lots of flavor!

One of my favorites to use in my old reliable francis x1. I never bother with grinding my own bean, especially because I enjoy this brand as-is without the extra step. There are definitely better espresso to be had, but as my generic, always in the cupboard, this is my usual go-to.

I consider myself a coffee conoisseur but not a coffee snob. While I like freshly roasted, whole beans, I welcomed the chance to buy pre-ground espresso from Italy...in cans. I had high hopes based upon reviews here and looked forward to receiving my first shipment.

Kudos to Amazon for a great price and quick shipping. However! That does not make up for the very poor quality coffee inside!

What a major disappointment. The coffee is pale brown, not a deep rich color. It is a little coarsely ground for an espresso machine. The back of the can states this is espresso coffee, but yet describes itself as a "medium roast" with "medium body." Where is the strong, dark, flavorful, aromatic, rich blend needed for a true espresso?

I think I'll pass this right on over to my husband for use in his drip coffee maker.

I have been making it in my single serve Senseo machine that comes out a little less foam than an espresso machine but tastes just as good. The grounds are a little fine so I have to use a little more to get a stronger espresso shot. If I wanted a regular cup of coffee, I use a little less and add a little of International white chocolate macadamia creamer. Overall, it's an excellent coffee. I will be ordering more or try others once I'm getting down to my last can.

I started drinking espresso coffee about a year ago at a small coffee shop in Seattle and fell in love with it. To stop the high expenditure and not wanting to drink crap at Megabucks, I bought a Mr. Coffee ECMP50 Espresso/ Cappuccino Maker, an Aerolatte Milk Frother, Satin Finish and the various lavazza coffees. These gizmos along with the Lavazza ground coffee and whole organic milk makes really good cappuccinos at a really good price. We spent under a hundred bucks on the gizmos and we drink excellent coffee at home, whenever we want, at about 40c a cup which is amazing !!

I recently stayed at a Hilton Hotel that uses Lavazza exclusively in their rooms and restaurants. And... I have been drinking decaf coffee for years. Lavazza is by far the BEST tasting decaf we have ever drunk!! I ordered five boxes of eighteen pods recently. They were shipped in a heavy cardboard box and the coffee boxes inside arrived in "great" shape. No irregular shaped pods... They fit good in our coffee maker and the pods provide me with two full cups of coffee from my two cup Cuisinart. The pods were purchased from Aroma Cafe Culture. [...].

These little pods produce a tasty coffee, but there are some problems. First, of the 3 boxes I received, one was totally crushed. Only about 3 or 4 of the pods were salvagable. Second, the pods themselves are somewhat irregular. They aren't all trimmed properly, so sometimes a bit of the filter ends up sticking out of the machine, which gives rise to a leaky spot. Third, they make a very limited cup of coffee. That is, most pods make a nearly full mug(the two-cup setting on the basic Senseo machine), but these pods run out of coffee at just a scant half mug(the one-cup setting on the basic Senseo).

So, yes, they're tasty, but plan to use two pods to make a mug of Joe. Watch the quality of the trimmings, and be prepared to whip out scissors to trim the filter papers. And unpack your boxes thoroughly to give Amazon a heads-up if you have unsealed pods and loose coffee due to poorly sealed/crushed product.

Lavazza has the advantage of knowing how to roast coffee well. This particular batch seemed however to be lacking in freshness. And unquestionably this blend had far too many robusta beans in the mix. They are of course far cheaper than the arabica. But the "saveur" of the coffee is diminished, even as its physical/nervous effects become excessive. To my mind, not a good trade-off.
